Njoh Foundation Takes Action Against Cervical and Prostate Cancer

Yaoundé, October 14, 2025 – The Njoh Foundation organized an important awareness meeting on cervical and prostate cancer this Tuesday in the Hall of Acts of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) in Yaoundé.

These two diseases, major public health concerns, continue to cause serious harm among women and men in Cameroon. Aware of this reality, the Njoh Foundation, in partnership with American organizations, received a donation of medical kits for the early detection of these cancers.

The meeting brought together male and female staff of the EPI, who expressed great interest in this vital initiative. The awareness session, marked by engaging and educational discussions, concluded with an on-site screening operation.

In a private room set up for the occasion, women present were able to undergo a free Pap smear test for the early detection of cervical cancer.

According to officials of the Njoh Foundation, this free awareness and screening campaign will continue in the coming days at the Yaoundé Central Hospital, one of the city’s leading health institutions.

As for men, the equipment for prostate cancer screening is on its way, and they too will soon be able to benefit from free testing, the Foundation assured.

This initiative aligns with the Njoh Foundation’s vision to promote community health through prevention, education, and equitable access to care.
